    I have taken my car to my mechanic instead of ford this time. The problem appears to be a collar on the steering column for the steering angle sensor (SAS) is moving, a known problem in the first BF. Whats annoying is why did Ford keep re-calibrating the sensor instead of swapping it out during the warranty period. The replacement part is $900.

    Hey, Just wondering what the fix was for this? I've got the same problem. I keep taking it to ford and they re-calibrate the SAS sensor but the problem returns weeks later.
