Washed mine twice on the weekend. Cause it rained on it on Saturday so I washed it again on Sunday.

All I will say is.... I loved the drive today!!!!
-
they are exactly what they say they are " Service Department " only capable of routine servicing. I'm just pissed that I had to remove the box myself. after all that is why I sent it to them.

REALLY ANNOYED!!!! After having the car at Ford for the last 6 weeks they fixed absolutely nothing!!! I took my ute there so they could fix it and all they could do was scratch their heads and say we can't say what is wrong with it. They asked me what I would like them to do???? I thought they were trained mechanics. Any way I said it is definitely around the gear box so remove the box and have a look. they did remove the box and said they will check the clutch for wear. I also remarked on the fact that alot of the auto's have found to have lose bolts on the fly wheel, but as mine is a manual they said not likely. Well if they had of at least touched the clutch they would of found the problem. But instead they put the gearbox back in and said they cant find the problem. Oh and charged me for the removal and refitting. WELL I am a self taught mechanic. And this afternoon I found the issue. I thought I would remove the box myself after decided to check my clutch and fly wheel first hand before I go and give anyone else any money. And guess what I found..... 6 lose bolts on my fly wheel. WOW go figure the customer was right. Thank you Ford for letting me be robbed by you then letting me fix my car by myself. So for the record the cars fitted with manuals can also have the flywheel to crank bolts work their way lose too. Mine started as what seemed like back lash, and all of a sudden the clunking started. I'm glad it was something found and can be rectified with no spare parts. except a little lock tight.

possible tensioner noise???
-
I am really hoping it isn't. The noise came on all of a sudden. I have also noticed a crack in the weld of the flange of my dump pipe and turbo. I'm wondering if this could be throwinf the engine idle out of balance. or if the cat could of btoken down somehow and cause the same sort of harmonic distortion to the engine causing excessive roll over noise.
-
engine sounds fine when idling with clutch in. sound seems to go when driving and still and revs as smooth as ever. it just knocks and rattles and clunks while at idle. as soon as I touch the accelerator it runs smooth.
-
oh and the noise stops when you put the clutch in. but in saying that sometimes it does not go completely.
-
if it was lifters or valve springs would it not cause other issues through out the rev range?
-
Really? I have no crunching noise but it definitely sound like its around the bell housing. I am hoping its not the big end bearing but it sound like sh*t when you even just touch the start button and it turns two or three times before it starts.
-
I have to say I have no idea at all what his awful rattle cold be. I have had the gearbox out and there is no issues with the box. Clutch appears to be in good condition and secure. The throw out bearing seems to be fine. When it starts it just chunks like all hell. At idle it clunks rattles and knocks. If it is roll overy noise it would be about the worst you'd ever hear. The noise goes when th revs are lifted and stays away at about 1500/2000rpm but if you lift them to 1000 it goes momentarily then starts again. I'm really scratching my head over this one. When driven the powers there and changes gear well. It's just noise. You'd hear it 50+metres away. Any ideas?

I think the Utes are cheaper than sedans. There will be plenty of 19 yr olds driving sedans spewing about what you got insurance for. They must fall into the commercial vehicle category or something. I was shocked how cheap mine was to insure. I suppose they don't class them as a sports car.........
-
I here what you're saying. I will get them to run it on there dyno. then I will decide what to do about pump. I know I need it.
-
nuff said ey..... getting edgy now to see what a tuner with a good rep can do for me. Gees f@$k I love it now.
-
I am starting to feel bad. have I started an intune bash?????
-
I have the 4" x-force system. Done also injectors, cooler, battery swap,4" intake, ported turbo.... I still haven't decided who to go to yet but I will start with a tune and see exactly what and where the fuel is at. The Ute comes on so strong in the mid range it is hard to keep traction from the rush of boost so I'm thinking a little less boost and try and tune the same top end out of it with keeping a little flatter torque curve. its a wild thing at the moment. want to get it feeling better before I take it to the strip. Cant complain done an awesome skid all the way up the on ramp onto the M4 today . LOVIN IT!!! :D

Mate they sit and wait for the hard to insure to come along. I feel for you. When I was under 25 I had to get my wife to insure our cars.
-
yeah mate will do. I have chatted to Spiro before and I have no good reason why I didn't go there to start with.
-
Some bloody insurance companies do rob you. I couldnt believe I got a $5k quote when I bought it. They gotta be joking.
-
Mate mines $1100 for insurance. I reckon you can't beat that for a high performance car. What sort of dollars is everyone else paying
-
Nah not rude mate. I had a bad feeling after a mate of mine told me he was towing a customers GT back there for the fifth time. Ya gotta wonder......................
-
Mate if they need to flat line it to get some smoke there must be more wrong than just being a moron lol
-
So It's that same old story go with the good recommendations from the start and not with what is more convenient and see how you go. I guess I have had a good run till now then so with the reviews I have heard from CMS I guess I now who's doing the tune with the fuel upgrade.
