Went to Peter Warren on Staurday 25/1/03 just to see if they had an XR6T. They had a venom on demo and picking that one up on 15/02/03.

Stumbled in by doing a google search for XR6T

I'm 23 getting the XR6T in two weeks. Being young is not a good thing for me as insurance is a killer. rjs

Good day guys, went to the dealer yesterday and they had a venom xr6t as a demo. I was standing around for about an 30min with my mate waiting for someone to help me out, but no luck. After looking around at the cars on the lot incl the xr6t & xr8 I went inside and spoke to the manager. Just thought I'll let you guys know that I was wearing daggy clothes and I guess the dealers do judge people by the way they look. I was quite angry and the assist manager apologised and gave me the keys for the demo xr6t to try it out. After the drive (very impressed) I asked the assist manager how much would he sell the car for and mind you there were no added options, just standard. He said what was I looking for in the options and I said just the tints, xr mats, momo gear knob (manual) scuff plates and tow bar. He then said to me that because I was waiting around not being served that he would add the options and sell the car to me for $45,000.00 drive away. I will be speaking to the finance company to see about approval cause I think that is a good deal.

I drove the sequential shift and it was excellent. Much better that the previous models. But I must say I would prefer the manual as for me I felt more in control. But that's just me.

Hi guys, I have just checked the NRMA online quote estimate and found that they recently increase the premium from $2200 to $2700. I am 23 male living in NSW with 60%NC bonus. I guess now the insurance company are getting to know this car and it's a potential as time goes pass. I just hope that the XR6T does not end up like the WRX with it's insurance prices.

I agree with your statement Ownaxr6t, I only use Shell Optimax and find that my car is not as sluggish and get more km's out of a tank. I have also heard that the optimax has cleaning agent to reduce carbon build up in the car.
