thought in std tune it was OK to run on ULP so Pinging would be of concern on PULP 95 ron. The few times I've used ULP 91 ron I have detected what might have been a mild pinging during early warm up (normal driving). If a modified chip is fitted does this rule out any future use of 91 ULP or can the mappings be "de-tuned" to accomodate?

This sounds interesting - anyone got any further info on this. Pics perhaps

Yep, Ive got the clunk when going into reverse when stationary. Particularly noticeable when cold - probably coz the tickover is higher. Whats the point of making sure the Hanbrake is on - your foots on the brakes anyway! Not really good enough

Havent re-set the computer for 4 months now and averaging 13.5 in an auto (stock). This includes mixed driving and some fun but I'm not thrashing the nuts off of it at every opportunity. Also occassional use of std ULP. For those with chipped computers, what do you get for comparison (or is that a stupid question)? Some of the "chippers" say that fuel economy is improved as the mixture is leaned off - comments?

:( Is any one else experiencing clunks and thumps in their auto drive line under normal driving? There is much info on manuals but from my experience the problem might be the diff and prop-shaft. Sometimes feels like there is something heavy in the boot moving around (I checked, there isn't!) and that the back end is having difficulty keeping up with the transmission (too much play/backlash). Don't seem to experience it when in the manual mode, except for the 2nd to 1st downshift at low speed, where there is often a quite severe thump/clunk- anyone else experience this? Not sure if the problems are related. Ive got nothing to compare against (except the odd awfull taxi ride) as Ive never had a Ford before and my last RWD auto was a 1974 Triumph Stag (BW35), circa late 80's - feels like nothings improved in this dept! It's driving me nuts and (since getting the brakes sorted) ruining the experience.
