  1. Just to give you guys some more info, the car is lowered 2" all round with King Spring's and is the Turbo, how could you go without a snail? One more piccy, a closeup of an alloy.
  2. And one more. These are the shots the dealer sent me. Will have more of my own taking when I pick up the car in about 13 hours.
  3. I like it when people admire my car for a change........ :D Glad to oblige with a couple more piccies.
  4. I can tell you what the tint is by telling you that I can't tell you what the tint is.... Get it?
  5. The tint was organisaed by the dealer but done by a third party. It's metalic and DARK so I'll report how the reception goes. The rims and tyres (new falken 512's) set me back $2300. When I subtract the $1200 from the dealer for my 17's they make a much cheaper 18" upgrade than the factory one's and I prefer to have something a bit different to everyone else.
  6. The rims are 18" Lenso Speed Six.
  7. Guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me with this little issue that I have. I am from Canberra and my XR6T (which arrived on Monday morning) is in Orange NSW. I have cut a good deal for some 19" rims from Tempe Tyres in Sydney. The problem is that the rims arrived on Monday at the shop and the guy rang to tell me that one of the rims was marked. I was originally going to get the rims and tyres delivered straight from Tempe to Orange without seeing them in person. Now that one is damaged I need to see if I am happy to take the set at a discounted rate or if I should cancel the order and try again. So basically I need someone who may live near Tempe to go into Tempe Tyres and check out the rims for me and make a unbiased report on their condition. Or better still if you have a digital camera you could take a picture of each of the rims and email them to me or post them here. I really need this done on Tuesday if at all possible otherwise I will have to drive to Sydney on Tuesday night and arrange to meet someone there so that I can see the rims and make a decision in person. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. CJL.

    Production Duration?

I see. I'm only getting leather, side bags, premium sound and sports wheel as the factory options. So that should minimise the amount of time they have to have it. I'll keep my fingers crossed and see how it goes. This is a new answer to the age old question of "How do you keep a fool in suspense?" CJL
  9. Guys, My car went into production on Monday, does anyone know how long it takes from then until the car leaves the factory? Thanks CJL
  10. aw, come on guys, heaps of you have read this post, surely some of us have modded the wheel and tyre package by now, please, pretty please, show me some pics......
  11. Guys, I'm really struggling to pick some 18" alloys to put on my XR6T when it arrives. Do any of you guys have any pictues of BA XR's with wheels other than the 17" and 18" Ford alloys? If you do, can you please post them as a response to this thread. Thanks CJL

    Wheels

Yep, I was checking out those exact rims and was keen to buy until I was told a price. I was told that a 18" 5 Razze was around $870 per rim. More than I wanted to spend when they doesn't even include some rubber. I also had a look at some 18" Fury's in the Shadow Chrome, but couldn't come to a decision I've got a Black Turbo coming and want to get a wheel with a polished rim and black spokes for a kind of stealthy look. So now I'm looking at 18" ANZ Voltecs in Hyper Black. The pricing comes in around $2600 with cheapish tyres so I suppose they would cost around $3000 - $3400 with some decent tyres. I wasn't too keen on the lace look to start because it is so popular with Japanese and import type cars, but I still think they'll look good on a BA. Here's a nice piccy....
  13. The ones in the photo are 19's.
  14. Saw these wheels at Gregorys Ford in the ACT during the week, thought I should take a photo so everyone can see just how good these wheels look. I know there's some other photo's in the gallery of these wheels but they certainly look good on a Ghia. The offset is perfect for the car. The ones in the picture are 19's, I was given a rough price of $1000 per wheel (without rubber) for 18's. CHris
