  1. Cheers 72. Thanks for the welcome note.
  2. I'm looking to pick up a TT or TTG and will be taking it for "checking" as soon as I take the keys. (ie. I want to give it a slight tweak before my better half drives it and can tell the difference) I'm looking at a humble budget of $2000-$2500 and want to get the most out of it. From reading through the various threads I've determined that an exhaust de-bunging, cold-air intake and flash tune should give a healthy increase, but I'm not sure what sort of money this will demand. I basically want to leave the car, have them do all the work and pick it up. I just don't have time/space/tools to do anything myself. Is this the best approach and what sort of money would I be looking at? With regards to tuners, I've done some brief research and came up with HPF and NIZPRO (who did some work on a car of mine about 6-7 years ago). Via email Nizpro quoted me $1600 for their "Territory 285kW GT-T S1" which must have been an error, as $18k for 40kw seems a tad steep. I asked for confirmation, but didn't hear back. HPF's website has a $1,650 kit that claims 350kw. K&N Flat panel air filter + Capa Ford flash tuner with custom tune. That seems amazing value for money. Has anyone ever had this kit installed? Are HPF a reputable mob? No disrespect intended - it just seems so cheap for what it is, so I'm a little unsure. Are there any other tuners in VIC that I should consider? Thanks for any advice. I look forward to ditching my plastic-fantastic, company car, grandpa-commuter VRX Magna for something more entertaining!
  3. G'day everyone. I stumbled across this site and have spent the last 4 hours scouring through countless threads. Very informative and seems like one of the friendliest forum crowds around. I'm in the printing game and am looking to get some wheels that enable me to cart jobs around from time to time. I've looked at wagons and apart from the overpriced Audi A4 Avant, nothing else grabs me. One of my first cars was an original VL Calais turbo wagon that ended up running high 12s, so I've always had a soft-spot for turbos and understated sleepers. Anyhow, I've all but decided I'll be grabbing a 2nd hand or ex-demo TT or TTG, but I'm struggling to see where the extra value is in the GHIA. I might be missing something here, so can anyone offer up some support for the extra $10k spend? Here's some pricing from dealers - could only find 1 TTG. 2007 FORD TERRITORY SY Ghia Turbo– 4,500km $55,997 2007 FORD TERRITORY SY Turbo – 6,500km $46,888 2006 FORD TERRITORY SY Turbo – 16,000km $45,990 2006 FORD TERRITORY SY Turbo – 3,000km $44,980 2006 FORD TERRITORY SY Turbo – 19,000km $42,170 2006 FORD TERRITORY SY Turbo – 19,500km $39,888 2006 FORD TERRITORY SY Turbo – 2,000km $44,980 Before I hit the car yards I want to be relatively informed. Why did you grab the TTG over the TT? Thanks in advance!
