  1. that's what I was thinkin maybe just rebuild it and make it a work of art nort sure
  2. well this is the tricky part I've had 3 major charges against me in 5yrs which has put me as a habitual offender 1. Special range pca when I was 18 I blew .02 which was the limit which I had to be under I was angry about that 1 2. Driving without a licence in 2006 copped 12month good behaviour bond for that 3. Driving while on point suspension in january this year, I got 12 months from the judge thought That was awesome especially since I defended myself and then this is the f*cked part recieved a letter last week from rta stating that I lose my licence for a mandatory 5yrs which goes on top of the already 1yr given by the judge. I've taken this back to the court and they say I can't do anything about it unless I appeal 1 of the charge's putting me as a habitual offender, which they say the oldest one is the only shot being a minor drink drive but that was 4yrs ago 'I don't like my chances'. Anyway that's it something so small at the time has ended up so big
  3. Well fella's this is the end of my driving life with my xr last week I lost my licence for 6yrs I didn think I would get that much but that's life I guess teaches me a lesson LOL. now I've got everything for my xr now and it's ready to complete but I have not drilled the sump yet it's the only thing that's left other then a couple of welds on the dump to connect the new cat. should I finish this project and sell it as a turbo and hopefully get some silly kid to buy it, or should I put it back to stock and sell the kit to another outgoing young fella like myself willing to give it ago????? confused

so you got it all done mate? that's awesome I'm still in the making of mine but had a misfortunate thing happen last week, the law finally caught up with me and gave me 6yrs loss of licence not happy so now I have a xr6 half turboed and never ever be allowed to drive it. whats your thoughts on this do you think I should turn it back to normal and sell before I tap the sump or finish it and then sell it?? I'm confused
  5. in ba's there is no symptoms the tps is an electrical device that sits on the throttle body it has nothing to do with dirty air or vacuum leaks all it does is read where the butterfly is position to acknowledge the pcm in fuel & air delivery, a sympton of knowing if the tps is failing is intermitted stalling while driving or at the lights this is purely electrical failure which I'm not sure what causes that maybe some1 else can help with that also! I hope that is any help or maybe I'm completly wrong! lol either way let me know if I am

yes the light's are the same in fitment but they changed the wiring setup for the headlight's from 9/06 on wards. the ba headlight got superceded by bf series light's and each headlight I sell at work for prior 9/06 needs a wring loom sold with it! just trying to think what the difference is???????? brain freeze so if there got different wiring setup in the back of the headlight that means no you can't put ba into bf as the globe socket's won't match I believe and ford do not sell the wiring loom in opposite connection but if you do some cutting and soldering it will work let me know how ya go cause it's something I've never come across yet lol I've attached a pic from my microcat to kinda explain it lol.

any good workshop will have a scan tool that will get the basic trouble codes from the vehicle, most ford dealerships are lpg agents as they are required by ford, to maintain the dedicated lpg cars. from my experience it is around the 16L/100k but do remember that this is gas not petrol it sounds high but is actually normal a common fault with the lpg ba/bf engines are the spark plugs they came out with standard temp plugs which has caused problems for the coil's in this regard all lpg engines are being replaced with a different plug without customers knowing that they were wrong from factory. also remember that the old xh was full body not tray and was more heavier then the ba/bf's this also contributes to fuel consumption
  8. Just a Quick Question I'm up to the exhaust part of my project I'm thinking of going a 3inch dump and cat and my mate has a xr6t standard exhaust cat back for $150 should I go this way or is there something simple I originally wanted to go 3inch straight through to tail but the twin smaller diameter might do the same?? and remember doing it cheap lol
  9. well thanks for the input guys I've added a photo of the intercooler, I've just installed and the piping it was pretty tricky but I managed!. hopefully when it's finished this month I can show you the dyno output hopefully it'sup there with the rest of you!!
  10. well how about that I didn expect people to get offensive over the comment if you work for your money like I do then you know what I mean! you would be amazed what I actually know about cars since it is my career I like playing dumb to see what other people can help me with so far out of the whole thread I have not recieved any info on what I originally asked which was "NOW WITHOUT BEING MEAN PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I'M FORGETTING" I'll start with something I've noticed in other threads that I didn know as an interpreter 'valve springs' now I'm gathering these are restricting valve movement or are breaking under big boost what is it about them???? OH and I do wish to appologise to all that I offended and thankyou to the two that actually did give me advise
  11. well thanks for the support 51KBA I just couldn see why people repeat themselves over and over again we all know that yes buying a xr6t is the easiest but it's not as satisfying as doing it yourself and enjoying the outcome of saying I did this it's easy to say that my car has 300kw at the wheels thanks to $10,000 and jo blows mechanical down the road that made this happen LOL. I'm a do-er and I'm proud of it I left home when I was 16 and haven't returned since I buy everything myself and live by myself and also single the money is hard to find but I manage I wish I had parents like every1 else that pay for things!!!! anyway back to info I've noticed a sender on the standard intercooler what does this do???
  12. back to the original thread leave your personal comments out of it I've decided to go this way so accept it all I want to know from any1 is what I'm forgetting that is different in the xr6t that n/a didn have like sensor's hidden away that might be needed I've checked the parts catalogue but can't really come up with anything
  13. very quick to reply boys insurence only matters when a crash happens I've got friends in the panal game and of cause mechanics the last time my mate crashed he took the stuff of straight away and put it back to standard the insurer didn notice a thing!! I hope the same will happen with me and for the paying it off quicker I'm just not that smart. when I say I will do something I usually do it and in this case I said I will have it boosted by powercruise next year and yes I will at least two weeks away from drivable and 8 months away from the cruise plenty of time for engine bugs lol
  14. NOW BEFORE I START I'D LIKE TO SAY THAT I CAN'T AFFORD TO SELL MY XR AND BUY A XR6T FOR 3 REASONS 1: I owe to much on my loan and since the fg the market price has put my car at least $5000 below my loan which is no good. 2: I have a very bad driving record that stops me having insurence on a xr6t. 3: last of all since I lost my licence I've lost a dramatic amount of money in my line of work (parts interpreter for ford lol was a manager) Now for the thread info I have a series 1 ba xr6 5 speed nice looking always wanted to keep it stock for the value of being standard but now I'm over it so I have started collecting turbo gear for it the cheapest way possible and of cause it's ebay just want to let the other cheapies like me know how much it can cost my way compared to the rich kids parts list exhaust manifold $200 ebay t3/t4 turbo internal gated new $104 ebay usually $350 cross over pipe section $50 ebay big front mount I/c $145 ebay monster performance usually $350 chrome universal piping $48 ebay came with 6 pipes 2xstraight 2x45deg and 2x 90deg which works well oil lines pressure came with turbo drain I made $20 at least XR6T MAP sensor $????? can't tell ya employee secret lol exhuast dump yet to be done $100 XR6T fuel reg $100 also a couple of I/c pipes genuine for the tricky bit's I.e. turbo to cooler and under battery tray $180 all up for that so now the total ruffly $800 that is the cheapest way I could find to do this. Now witoutbeing mean to me please let me know what I'm forgetting I've put a turbo on the last 3 cars I've had and enjoy doing it myself and the outcome each time cheap as first time I made the exhaust manifold that was fun it worked but not for show the engine handled it but turbo's where second hand and spat it before anything huge-second car was my ultimate challange v6 vn I put t70 on it and it flew but overboosted engine and blew it the last car was my vl for powercruise- come out good for $2000 but not catch can and it caught on fire lol oil and exhuast not good so now I know 3 factors that I have improved on 1: new turbo- with no history 2: maintain low boost and keep fuel ratio correct to stop pinging (small boost is better than no boost lol) 3: all pcv valve's crankcase vents and oil lines to be proper and placed to correct positions to stop fire's he he.
