  1. that's pretty much what it does is occasional stall coming up to lights and while idleing it will drop and then come back up Helps good mate thatnks for that I might try and put the TPS from the TB I had on it before putting the John Bowe one on see if that makes a diff
  2. As above what is the main Symptoms of TPS failure, Throttle position sensor. I have cleaned TB and checked all hoses etc for vacuum leaks Any help appreciated
  3. Details are PCD is right 18 inch by 9 inch Offset +35 I know the BA is 36.5 offset or so, just want to check if the small difference is a concern or they are ok to fit a BA Sedan Cheers
  4. I would like to do that but unfortunatley time poor, weekend public holiday and then work in a call centre makes it hard, I wish to now asap as I have an opp at a replacement through a friend at a cost so trying to ascertain which would be the better way of going cost wise and as said havent had much to do with the boxes
  5. Another question, If I got a XR6T box and wanted to just do a frshen up type service on it before install, can this be done and what would cost in servicing a T Box. Sorry for the Q's, havent dealt much with the box before
  6. I have a BA with 4 speed auto, hence 4 speed from turbo, my box yep gearbox has done 200thou, but with some good power it maybe starting to let go so I need to decide and work out my options.
  7. Depends on shop, definatley ring around and keep eye on ebay
  8. I got one off ebay for $131 brand new, but havent seen them that low for a while, approx $250 odd now, exhaust shops been quoted anywhere from $300 to $450.
  9. Any idea of cost to do that, approx would be fine, gotta take it to the minister for war
  10. Thanks mate, what are the possibilities of a Turbo 4 speed fitting in behind a N/A. Are they stronger?
  11. As stated in title would a 4speed auto box from a turbo fit in behind a N/a 6 and what are the differences between the boxes, if any
  12. How can you tell if the 4 speed auto is slipping. This box has been maticulously maintained etc I have noticed this since last time at the drags and I have only driven the falcon twice since and tonight I gave it a good going due to a reseting of the ECU. When it coolish the box grabs well and slams second gear hard with the shift kit etc but once up to running temp it seems to slip a bit when changing gears and get a bit of a shutter occasionally when power is put down hard. I think by memory Castrol trans oil but dont quote me, the trouble started after I did the recent exhaust changes and dropped from 14.47 to 14.21 1/4, it was fine, then played with motor abit more and that's when it started. Car is a lot stronger just seems the auto is not handling as well putting the power through to the wheels I am thinking maybe some trans upgrades bands seals whatever can be done plus better oil any recommendations Any help appreciated
  13. Morning, got a question about the ICC ina BA XT Falcon. Mine has green highlight lighting etc but I have just picked up a full dash including the ICC and it has blue highlights around the Cd entry etc, does this indicate a difference between the ICC or are they the same just different lighting.
  14. M86 into a m78 or n/a 6, you need whole diff centre housing driveshafts not sure on the brake backing plates, as the m86 is larger
  15. I have a BA xt N/a and it had approx 164rwkw, but I have a 3200 stallie which zaps approx between 10-15% of the power from the rwkw reading, so if I didnt have that on an estimate I have been told 180 odd rwkw. done exhaust ,intake , underdrives and only have the generic bluepower tune no custom tune yet I do have a barra 190 from a BF in it though
