Aftermarket Typhoon Front

hey all

I recently put a fibresports typhoon front on my xr6t.

On the drive up from melb the black plastic spill tray(?) underneath begun to loose its screws, and once the air got in there it begun to hang loose. I though it would be better to remove it than to have it come off at high speeds (very high speeds). Also the right hand inner guard (the plastic bit) became loose and rubbed itself away on the tyre.

I do vaugly remember the panel beater saying somthing about it, but I wasnt really listening.

Anyway I replaced the rhs inner guard no dramas, but im trying to put the spill tray back on and it wont fit. It seems im going to have to drill the rear centre hole in it further forward and cut the rear section of it off. Im guessing its because the tray fits closer to the front of the xr bar than the typhoon one?

Anyone else done, or heard of this??

Throw it away, put the XR6T front back on and stop trying to be something your not......

I think ill just pay half the money that ford ask for a better looking one.

I dont want an fpv... I just wanted a front end!!

Besides... too many blokes going through their middle age crises drive FPV's.

FPV or XR....They all started life as an XT.

True...... And on a dark night you can see the resemblance...

I think some of the problems you may be having is from a bad mould or bad copy.. There is someone around here that put a whole F6 aftermarket kit on their XR and found lots of bits just would mesh...

I have seen the kit on an NA up in townsville and the gaps were less than acceptable....
