  1. In 1986 the Aus$ was on parity with the US$ and oil per barrel was the same as now yet fuel per litre was 50-60cents per litre.
  2. The intercooler isn't the main reason for the lag. Lag is due to the turbo having enough exhaust back pressure(revs) to spool the turbo whereas a supercharger is always running and that is their advantage, although they have the pitfall of sucking power from the engine to actually run them. Sometimes this is over 100 hp just to run it :D Intercooling will slow the airspeed but not really enough to worry about. I imagine ford will do a water to air intercooling setup just like the original setup they tested roll eyes
  3. How much? Im looking atmo and have found a few F6's I want as Im a turbo man but a blown 8 would be a good sleeper.
  4. You can get 10psi pulleys to run their current chargers so I doubt a few more psi would make a difference. The new generation eaton rotors are meant to be a lot better that the 112 and 122's.
  5. Harrops XR8 is making about 380rwkw so the new 5.0 will be making more than 335kw or whatever it's meant to be.
  6. I spoke to a VASS engineer a few weeks back about I few cars Im looking at. He said that regardless of the pod being boxed, its still illegal. He's trying to get it passed but vic has some of the stringest rules in the world in regards to emissions. Oh and he also said that he was unaware of Nizpro kits being engineered, adr yes but not engineered.
  7. Hey all, I tried the search but I didn't seem to find much. Yes I know it's not the ute section but thought it'd be applicable to all falcons?? I'm going to look at a few FG utes on the weekend and DSC is one of my options I was after as well as leather. I was wondering from what month was DSC added to the FG lineup as I know it was added late 2008., but I'm not 100% when. Any help would be much appreciated as I'll be getting one within the next week Thanks in advance
  8. Just ask him what mph he had to get the 10.3. Should be up around the high 120's to early 130's. I've seen them run 10.8's-10.9' with 122mph. That's how to tell how full of he is. In regards to the traction issues with live axle, pfft. Years back mine ran 13.0 @ 105 with full tank and was slowly dropping as the fuel level went down so there's no issues there. Even humped a wrx off the line. And that was with sh1tty 14" tyres. In comparison to some of the times I've seen here, there is a lot higher mph's to get near a 13.0.
  9. Yeah that happens when you do favours for the boss continually and he doesn't appreciate it!
  10. Yeah, he's going to have heaps of trouble filling the postion of "do the work quicker than quick, spot on while reading my mind but for less than the counterhand at maccas while putting up with my insults. Don't get me wrong, car is awesome. I think along with others, it looks good, it has 575hp and weighs under 900kg-do the maths = very quick, it will handle like a bullet train and has all the "bling", $10g seats, $40g motor, $5g, supercharger etc. all US$ that is
  11. Sorry, but I'd have to agree with that <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Care factor 0% now!! But Jay Leno, Tim Allen, Arnie, Jerry Seinfeld and Coca cola don't seem to think it's ugly!!
  12. I would offer you a place to stay but there is a new development- There will be a couple of positions now as today at 12.45 I told the boss to bash his job so far up his arze it comes out his f#cking ears, nose and mouth. If you want to work for an absolute c#nt who pays not much more than Maccas trainees get, want to sweat while your sweeping up or be told you've done something wrong 5 times a day when you haven't done anything wrong, be told to wear new clothes when the only thing that is wrong with your clothes is they are dirty from WORKING, be told off for his tools disappearing when you haven't touched them, or being told that you are working too slow while still doing the same job as his mate and then helping him do his, or bveing told off for having leaned the broom up against a machine and then watching him swear and rant at you for doing so and then promising to throw the broom out while throwing them across the factory if you were to do it again. And this is only in the last 3 days. End rant. Please don't think that I am only writing this because I have quit and "getting back at him" This is a reality of my EX f#ckstick boss who thinks that he can treat and talk to people like they are a child or a dog! just because of who he thinks he is!!!!! If this s the job for you contact me and I will give you his number and GOOD LUCK. __________________
  13. Well ZAP that's your opinion and your opinion only! When you can create and build YOUR own car I'll take your comment on board
  14. Thanks Macka, hopefully we will find someone that is a good worker and will find working for us a enjoyable experience.
  15. My boss asked me to put this ad in regarding labour at my work. Is there anyone here that is interested in doing some odd jobs at my work for some short term. Work will include fibreglassing, rubbing down a mould, assembling Diablo's that we are building currently. As a bonus we are also doing some countach bodies that will be fibreglass and you will be tought how to do fibreglassing. You will also learn how to do carbon fibre work. Only catch is you have to be good with you hands, a quick learner and work fast. I am unsure of the pay but it will be offset by the fact that you will learn heaps while there and this may help you in future jobs. Who knows it may even lead to a full time job if you're good enough and my boss likes you!! If anyone's interested just let me know. Location- Essendon airport www.carbontech.com.au
