Howdy all!

not sure if this is the right area, but no doubt some of you Ute Owners would of no doubt thought about it, (and after an extensive search yelded nil results) but has anyone done / has a kit that will make the hard tonneau cover work with the remote central locking, or even a kit that works on its own without using the damn half inch ford key?

or even a seperate remote for the hardtop would be ace.

understand what im talking about? One of these days im going to slip with the key and give my hard cover a nasty scratch :(

Any suggestions / kits and or comments?

Cheers Ben.

In answer to your question....no! There's talk about it but nothing has come to fruition as yet.

Contemplating getting a couple of supercrap boot release solenoids to set up wired to a button in the cab or something.

I have been thinking about this. Although not with the hard top but with a trundle tray I want to fit to my ute. My idea was getting a sedan remote and using the boot unlock button to 'unlock' the trundle tray toolbox. Does that button pop the boot for sedans? Im only guessing that's what it does.I was going to head down to ford today and have a chat to see if this was possible......

Try THIS link, its an auto opener but is the same principle :tease:

Chooka

Yer, I saw That,

now because its powered, when the boot is "closed" id imagine you cant open it?

food for thought.... anyone got one fitted? and I mean, im assuiming they are US$ so perhaps we could find somehing simular in AU that's more cost effective.
