Affirmative! Yep, it's a custom made intercooler, and I had it made in black so it's not that opvious, or...ricey....not into the big assed stainless steel type of intercoolers. Don't get me wrong, they look nice but I'll leave that to the jap cars.

As for waiting for the ECU to be cracked, only those that like to sit back and let other people take the lead are doing that. I will be proactive in using other solutions, ill keep you posted when I have my mods done but you can be assured of some jaw dropping numbers.

After speaking to a few people in the KNOW.

I can tell you to be VERY carefull when

putting on a custom FMIC.

There is a reason Ford picked the size they did.

AIR FLOW.

If you put a big mutha cooler

on you'll interupt the air flow around

the engine, causing over heating.

This is where the XR8 bonnet buldge

will come in handy.

And YES a bigger cooler can be fitted

but it needs to be the right size.

And BAR and PLATE would be best.

First step should be a 3'5 mandrel bent exhaust

the the Cooler

then the Unichip ect.

You should see gains across the board.

It is that simple.

Just look at the 200sxs.

they are very restrictive from factory.

then with those mods you get BIG increases.

Somebody said HKS were looking into a XR6T.Can't figure out for the life of me why but if they can get 1000HP and 1000Nm out of 2.6L's...

Their "Drag Intercoolers" are around $5000 for the GTR's but are also 90%+ Efficient under all loads,where as most factory intercoolers are around 80 Under ideal conditions.
