Wastegate failed open under pressure p1228 code

Hi all, 

I just joined as I have finally bought my first xr6 turbo.

It's has some light mods, aeroflow 5862 turbo, 1000cc injectors, fuel pump, gearbox oil cooler, ss exhaust.

 

The other day I gave it good boot full up to the speed limit...and the check engine light came on, I have a obd2 scan tool and the Wastegate failed open under pressure p1228 code came up. I cleared it and has come back again. 

Obviously there is an issue, the car drives perfect when the light is on, doesn't over boost, Runs about 10psi at the moment.

 

I have researched here but can't find anything, I am hoping you guys can point me in the right direction on what to fix.

The turbo is still making plenty of boost and running fine, I will replace both sensors on the intake manifold and the intercooler pipe.
