Stupid question - Ford Roadside Assistance

Guys and Girls,

I have a stupid question, what exactly is the Ford Roadside Assistance and what does it cover ???

I have checked the Ford site and casn't find anything on it.

I have ordered an XR6 Turbo and my RACV membership runs out in 3 days and I am looking as to whether I need to renew it or not.

I was told it is the same as being a member of NRMA/

RACV/RACQ. It runs for the length of the warranty.

I think they use and pay for NRMA etc. in rural areas.

Sounds like Ford are moving up in the world. BMW/Mercedes 'roadside assistance' seems to consist mainly with a flatbed truck...

Our Merc. has had that ignominious trip more than once.

I've had to use roadside assistance twice and both times just had a tow truck come out. Mind you, both times were about 2am on a Sunday morning! I seem to recall reading about other members that have had the RAA/RACV/NRMA/etc sent out by roadside assistance though.
