Do the Turbos have Air Flow Meters? how sensitive are they.

my wrx used to have problems with the AFM and overfueling whilst slowing/stopping, usually after a strong run and would cause the car to stall (rare) but usually whilst slowing down.

after fittment of the uni-chip and correct adjustment of the Air/Fuel mixtures the problems went away.

also sometimes the BOV can cause problems with stalling if the plate doesn't close properly.

just my 2c

Hi

No they dont have a AFM so I dont think the bov would casue any problems.

The problem is not heat related, my car runs rough idle oround 80% of the time now from first thing in the morning until late at night generally can guarantee a stall or 2 every day.

I dont drive the car hard either.

I find that after a burst of acceleration and then heavy braking causes it? Heat has never been a factor seeing I live in a climate that rarely goes under 33 and humidity that will melt you away.

I am not totally sure about this but I beleave that it has to do with the way the ecu reads the crank angle sensor which tells the ecu what postion the motor is at.
