I had a WRX as well. I enjoyed every minute of it. One thing in its favour was I never has ANY issue with it ever!

I can't say the same thing for my T, I wish I could though......

On any piece of road though I could drive the WRX faster than the T. Simple - more grip that's all. They are both fine cars.

Love to have the WRX back. As well!

On straight roads, there's not much in it. He meant that point to point on twisty roads (ie Reefton Spur with 200+ corners in 18km of road), the WRX is far faster. Ditto along roads like Mt Donna Buang and the Acheron Way where it's all gravel and dirt. When I had my WRX, I loved going for a weekend fang along these roads, these is where the WRX really shines. Took my XR6T thru the Reefton Spur ... never again will I do that. The standard brakes are hopeless on a road like that, they were suffering fade big time after only 20-30 corners so had to back off completely. My WRX would of out-handled it, out-cornered it, and out-braked it, no question about that. Having said that though, the XR6T auto is an awesome car but in different respects and I had no major regrets in selling my Rex for a T. Oh yeah, I never had any problems or issues with my Rex. Haven't had any with my T either but it's only just over 3 weeks old ....

Yeah ive never had a warranty issue with my 3 years plus of rex ownership, great little car!!!

Especially considering its a piffling 168 kw's!

Cheers

Jim

I can show you more than a few warranty claims to Subaru for gearboxes in rex's if you like. While im at it, ill show you all the ones for the STI's motors that shat themselves too..... You might be immune to warranty, but your fellow rex drivers certainly aren't.

Subaru has its fair share of warranty problems too, even with their piffling 168kw.

No doubt, but I bet you find 90 out of 100 are modded, which = no warranty.

No need, I know about them too, 99/00 models I believe, (4/5 years ago), hardly any probs with the new age sti's (unmodded ones anyway).

Never said it didnt, just stated that mine hasnt missed a beat and has never NEEDED a visit to the dealer.

Is this turning into a war or something??? If so, take it to the track I say, the results will speak for themselves:)

Cheers

Im sure I typed in fordxr6turbo.com, not wrx.com

If you want to stick up for rex's, be prepared to cop some flack!

I was throwing dice in the alley

officer ozzyjim comes up to me and said

hey I thought I told you rex's were quicker round a track

and I was like whatever
