hi guys,

just installed a process west anti surge tank with twin walbro fuel pumps and turbosmart fpr1200 reg into a 08 fg xr6t ute and we have run into a few issues.

we are getting a reading of 70-75 psi fuel pressure at idle and no matter what we do to adjust the fuel pressure on the reg, nothing happens. we have also installed the block off for the standard reg as required.

the reg was sent back and tested and came back with no problems.

removed the fuel sender tonight and the return was slightly blocked so that has now been cleaned.

even with the return line disconnected and put into a bucket the fuel pressure stays the same.

we have no idea as what do to next. it has got me stuffed!

any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

George

Venturi in the tank is what will be doing it. Common practice to drill it out or remove it as now your not reliant on the swirl pot. If you play with it, you'll have potential issues back at stock

My 2c? KPM intank setup is a better option anyway

Thanks for your reply but it still does it with the return line going into a bucket and bypassing the return in the tank.

Twin 460s using a 5/16 return is not at all optimal for cruise/idle conditions.

Remove the one way valve in the factory basket on the return line and also fit a -6 return minimum.

Surge is most likely seeing some decent pressure also.
