Anything they have given to the world has had a good monetary base for it and they are experts at playing politics for profit. They have the most undemocratic and racist regime in the developed world.I do however agree with one sentiment. I'd rather them than say China, France or Germany as the world's most powerful nation - Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/8946-timberlake-and-jackson/page/4/#findComment-90720 Share on other sites

Who won that battle? It was the Divisions upon divisions of FRENCH soldiers using FRENCH weapons while the battle weary, beleaugured Americans could do naught but look on!The US economy is not built on freedom or innovation at all.It is built on sheer scale and financial control of poor countries via organisations such as the WTO and World Bank. There are no freedoms into the US at all.The farmers are constantly subsidised and huge tarriff are applied to foreign produce and in countries that more than the US export to the US uses its diplomatic wing to "armtwist' prioritisation deals so that US produce HAS to be accepted over others, Say australias. Not to meantion their blatant exploitation of the underclass in third world countries that mass produce goods for the "fair and equitable"Multinationals.Germany was also an excellent centre of engineering between the wars and the US gave these grants perhaps out of some hollow sorrow for the thousands upon thousands of civilians they killed in Judicious bombing of residential centres or their borrowing of high level nazi engineers to suit their own means.Wehrner von Braun anyone?commited nazi til the very end.but he was on the side of 'good' so that was OK?The US exerts to much muscle for my liking and while its being run by Oil Crazy, misguided fools who do nothing more than protect their personal interests it will be more of a danger than all the rouge states put together. How many 1000's of ICBM do they still have in stock?Last conservative estimate was about 3,000!and this is in the possesion of a man who will do anything to gaurantee "US" security, even lie to congress, the populous and invade a sovreign country under no provocation against international will and reason to secure a resource he has a vested interest in and begin to exploit the populous and its resource within months! JJ_Phantom Member 208 Member For: 21y 8m 18d Location: ACT Posted 07/02/04 12:47 PM Share Posted 07/02/04 12:47 PM The rationale to go to war with Iraq was based heavily on Iraq's failure to co-operate with UN resolutions. Saddam was a threat to neighbouring states in the region and in a post Sep 11 enviroment, the world could ill afford the risk of a nuclear threat in the middle east. The threat being that he was he was capable of posessing and using WMD and had not co-operated with the UN from 1998 to 2002 (a bit like Rene Rivkin a larger scale) and was actually in negotiations with Nth Korea to source WMD. Let's not forget that Saddam was not afraid to use biological weapons against Iran in the 80's.1. The UN (minus the USA & England) were quite clear to the world that war was not what they wanted. Unless you know something that the rest of the world doesn't (do you know where the WMD are??????) then Iraq were not in breach of any UN resolutions.2. Any mention of Sept 11 in regards to Saddam loses all credibility. Osama (the big bad mastermind living in a cave) given the chance would kill Saddam as quickly as he would any american. He hates the man.3. Who ordered the use of those weapons against the Iranian's in the 80's? the answer - the american Govt.
