I would be cautious about using a oil that is not approved for use in BTR's 4 speed auto. The oil used in this transmission was specifically developed for it. If you use a oil that is not approved you will void your warranty.

my warrenty is void anyway. and if u did have to get warranty work done its easy enough to flush the trans and refill it with the correct oil anyway.

What are the differences between the standard fluid in the transmission and the Redline fluid? Also are there other choices available?

Geea.

The fluid developed for this transmission has a lower coefficent of friction and has more extreme pressure additives comparied to a product that meets the Dextron III specification. I don't believe there are any synthetic product aproved for use in this transmission so your best option is to use a approved product such as Castrol TQ 95 and change your oil atleast every 40 000km.

Thanks WhiteTee

I agree there is a lot of good information on this site. I might even trade my AUIII XR8 in on one of these beasts.
