Broken Lsd?wierd One,help!

Im after some advice as to what you's think it may be I have searched for hours and hours and nothing!I will be taking it to get looked at sometime soon!

Last night I was driving my t (bf 6spd manual) in the rain, I left a set of lights I accelerated a bit in 2nd no wheel spin unit I hit a manhole cover I didnt see and it spun bit of axle tramp then carried on as usual.

5k down the road it felt like the rear end was moving around(felt like my wheel had come loose) pulled over everything was normal took off and it spun one wheel!? At the next set of lights I took off and just let in spin in 1st and second a tiny bit and they were both single's but it makes a rancid hollow sound when it does so!(if you go around a corner im the wet and your t does a single and makes that noise its the exact same noise)

Could it be a cv shaft?or should I start saving to be put through the wash for a new diff??

Any help or advice is much appreciated!

I don't know enough about these diffs to diagnose what has happened with your one, but the following might give some insight.

Years ago I had an LJ torana with a welded diff. It also had a very grabby ceramic clutch and fairly powerful 202 (triple carbs, extractors, sidepipe, cam, ported head)

LJs have a name for weak axles so my car was pretty well set up to break axles. Despite driving on the road as my daily driver and using the car in hillclimbs, I only ever broke one axle. That happened with an enthusiastic take off which broke into axle tramp.
