Which Battery To Buy

Sorry if a topic as such is covered in any previous thread..

My Battery is slowly on its way out so just want to find out what battey would suit and what others have purchased. Any specs in particular such as CC should be looked at when purchasing?

I'm looking at an optima red top.. about 250 delivered from east.... or 350 locally with a 10% discount (WTF right!!!??)

about 800cca on the red I think. A little higher on the yellow.

My BA XR8 had an EXIDE XD56(?) I think.. which was 560cca and that was pretty good. Think it was about $180

I just bought a Caterpillar battery from Westrac. $155. its 850cca and about N70 size, its for my 4x4 dual battery system. They are meant to be fairly good at deep cycling as well as starting.

They had heaps of different sized batteries and were happy enough to let me at them with a tape measure!
