My question, is it a straight replacement for the XR6T snorkel? If not, can the 6T box be modified to suit, or will it require the XR8 box?

Was told it's a simple swap using the bottom half of the XR8 box. My box and intake snorkel should arrive tomorrow, so guess I'll find out sooner or later. Ant

They trim the snorkel so the bonnet can shut properly and also put a little divot in the snorkel to fit because of the extra width compared to the stock xr6/f6 snorkel. As per your topic title, your talking about fitting to xr6 box (der on my behalf). I purchased xr8 box also, so I shall shut up now. Ant

Also the snorkel fouls on the bonnet and drive belt so has to be trimmed and moulded to fit. Not worth it IMO and you would no notice any gains.Just keep an eye on the classifieds section and ebay for an intake.

You only need the snorkel and lower airbox piece, if you got the whole lot it doesn't matterYou will just have a spare airbox lid Edited 07/02/13 02:07 AM by my270
