Handbrake Sensor

hi guys.

I have an 09 xr6 turbo ute and I have a bizarre problem with it, when I turn left a bit quicker than the norm the handbrake chime and signal come on. normally it wouldnt bother me that much but when it does it turns the cruise control off... also the handbrake wont set the chime or signal off if manually pulled up during driving. another annoying consequence is that sometimes the cruise wont set after being enabled, I have to smack the handbrake down so that the cruise doesnt register it as being on even though the handbrake all the way down.

anyone else had this problem? lol.

really? ok. is it as simple as a sensor replacement?

I dont know. I just put up with it. My BA ute does it sometimes, and our work BA tray does it all the time. Maybe some adjustment

on the handbrake lever, not sure.
