had a ba ute non turbo, put a light weight tray on the back and it was almost undrivable, good luck in the rain!!! hope you only kill yourself........

From my ute I removed:

Tow hitch 4.4kg

Toolkit 4.6kg

Spare wheel 23.5kg

Tarp and bars 3.0kg

Spare mount 2.8kg

Tailgate liner 2.5kg

Tailgate 15kg

Towbar 20kg

Tray liner 18.2kg

Tub 132kg

Tub braces 4.4kg

Rear muffler 7.2kg

Overload springs from leaf springs 11.2kg

Fuel tank xmember 6.8kg

Spare wheel xmember 12kg

Total weight removed 268kg

Original weight 1785kg

Car now weighs 1517kg (3337lbs)

I haven't calculated how much the new tray weighs but it would be around 30kg

lol cmon hes removed the tub, that should make some sense as to why its so light. but serious, your gunna need some light foot or one helluva lot of bricks to keep traction haha. genuinely look forward to seeing how this build goes :spoton:

I would make wheel arches/mud flaps large enough to accommodate some BIG slicks.

I dont know why mine went 1900kg at the dump that was just stock bf manual turbo with 20inch rims no hard cover, no towbar.

why would you remove your spare etc:S

I ran a 12.7 at 117mph with 20inch rims at 1900kg in a manual....maybe you should put some more weight in and you will go quicker;)

fyi the helper leaves you removed actually help stop tramp....you put a spring clamp at the front of the spring
