Rear Shudder...d.bush?

Last night I noticed a very slight stutter in the car I thought bad fuel maybe. Anyway today driving under any amount of load accelarating, travelling up a hill or turning a corner I get a massive rear end shudder. My senses tell me it's the diff bushes but I thought they'd give more warning than to just let go in this way at once? I don't have my trolley jack with me so can't get under there to have a geez. Is this a diff bush problem? I thought possible tailshaft perhaps too

I'd probably go and get it checked asap in case it is something worse like. I've done diff bushes and never had a shutter.

Checked it out today my side bushes are cracked but the top one is A1. Checked the diff fluid and it's clean (thought it might be diff) The revs sort of go up and down a bit as it shudders that's what I can't understand

Is it all the time or only when cold? Auto or manual?

#5

Could be a misfire if revs are affected.

Nah all the time it's ZF 6 speed. When I stop at the lights in D about 3 seconds later theres a big thud in the back (auto selecting first?) it doesn't do it if I stop and leave it in 2nd. I'll leave it with Ford and see what they want to do when I get some time.

You mean as your about to come to a full halt it feels like you get a little nudge from the back? if so its the zf selecting 1st.
