Well I go up to 500 sometimes lol but all depends on the speed of your net and what ping is too laggy for you. Just trial and error I found my limit but yeh always try and get the lowest with decent numbers playing. Usually find that most that are under 100 don't have that many players. About 250 or so ping is about where the servers start filling for me

Problem with MW3 is the same thing with MW2 - no dedicated (ranked) servers. It picks a person to host, and you all play from there.

Chances are FF, that you're getting put in a game hosted in the US. That would indicate the 1 red bar of ping when you hit tab. Even 2 bars (yellow) is pretty hard to play on.

I was playing last night, hadn't played an FPS in quite some time (been playing LoL) but my mates are now playing Tribes: Ascend. If you want a challenge, play that. Free to play on Steam and a very tricky game. Takes a heap of skill.

Tried playing Black Ops, stupid me joined Nuketown in a 5v5 and 1 guy was just chopper gunning/dogs/LMGing so would spawn and die instantly. Wasn't any fun which is why I went to play MW3 (which I dominate, 7th prestige I think - played a lot about a year ago but not much since).

BF3 was good when it first came out, but since I hadn't played any prior BF's I was more into COD. Still am but will give BF another shot soon (need to redownload it I think, dont have much quota left so unless its Freezone will wait a few weeks)

yer that's what I was thinking, I was getting put in servers out of aus.

tried joining local servers in aus with low ping late last night, but fk me it was hard, got timed out alot, sometimes didnt even load. so might try during the day this time to find more local servers.
