Hi all, I have been working with the guys from coolerworx to redesign their cold side pipes to clear the XR8 airbox and snork. I did a measure up but the first run still didn't quite fit, so I sent them my box and snork to mock up. I have since bought an SS Growler but it too could do with a little more clearance but did fit - just.

The guys have now completed the new design and have started to produce them. What this means is that the kit suits turbo side intake (the Herrod kit doesn't) and now, clears the XR8 box and snork without modifications. Both 'Stainless' and myself run these pipe kits. He uses them together with his custom turbo side airboxes :spoton: .

At around $430 and when you consider they now work with all airbox options, they're pretty hard to beat :3gears:

Cheers, Bomber.

Update - still not 100% right.

Pulled the bar off last night and fitted the revised cold side pipes. They have attempted with a 45 deg silicon elbow to lower it to run under the V8 snork - which it does. However, the pipe is now hard on that pesky bolt head on the rail which means no real movement. My concern is, the plastic throttle body elbow which is already suss, will split. The process west stage 2 kit sits slightly off to the side of the rail and Kev uses a longer silicon bend. This eliminates the 'fixed point' issues.

Am still working with them to resolve so will let you know.

Cheers,

Bomber.

Tell them to build in a replacement throttle body elbow into the coldside pipe like plazmaman.

I have been considering fabricating my own.
