Was wondering what times those who have run their cars over the quarter mile - and I don't mean with a G-teck or the like. Would be interested in seeing a list.

Oh, perhaps more importantly, what speed was achieved, because as we all know, the ET can be affected badly by gear changes, wheelspin and so forth, whereas the speed typically remains relatively constant.

Could some one explain to me how big is the difference of 0.5 sec quarter mile is? Never been to a quarter mile session before, I always get that annoying dream that I'll step over an oil lake and lose my car

I must say low 14s for a SSS is quite impressive.

Ayman, I think you meant to say low 13s for an SSS. A lot of the SSS guys

are aiming for a 13 flat or better .... Go the SSS :funnydance::kissmy:

cuspub,

Exede is an aftermarket piggyback ecu & 300 is its suggested flywheel power rating in kw's. However until I get back to the track with new tyres & low pressure in them I'm not about to brag about how much grunt I've got in real world.

The terminal speeds for the 14 sec quarter being posted by the XR's seem to be around the 105mph mark. So if you had two cars side by side and one ran 14.0 sec and the other 14.5 the faster car would be about 22m ahead (around 4 car lengths)
