Unibar Fitted

Just fitted a Unibar to the front of my BA XT.

It took around 1.5hrs to fit, with two long bolts on the top and a plate on the inside of the bumber.

The bottom has four 3inch tec screws running in to the steel reinforcement behind the bumper bar.

Well be getting a couple Narva 180mm lights next week.

Price $95.00 but that's up here in the bush, might be cheaper in the city.

It also pulls the bumber a little out of shape as the mounting plate is flat and the bumper is curved but I will live with that for now all untill I can make some spacers up, all see if its noticeable after the lights are fitted.

I'll be interested to see how it all looks DavXT, once you've got the driving lights on....

I saw a blueprint BA XR6 or 8 travelling in the opposite direction to me just last Friday. Had a bullbar fitted, looked like the car was wearing black rimmed spectacles! Not a very sporty image!

But I guess the owner had a genuine need or a real fear of wildlife!

I was thinking of a nudge bar for Gadan, something to hold two spotties and a CB arial. But that bar looks pretty good as well..

Has anyone thought of changing the fog lights to driving lights, or are they mounted too low to get any range out of them. I also realise that the wiring would have to change to have them on only with high beam.

Who are the distrubutor's, might have to invest in one myself.

Are you worried about air flow if you fit driving lights?

Oppitsite Lock sell's them up here, cops use them so air flow should be ok.

I live in outback so it wont take long to fine out if she going to over heat.
