A big welcome, hope U enjoy your time here , it gets addictive.

As per other posts , go the Premium Stoppers and Sound

before anything else.

Have U considered Winter White ? Looks good and is not common as muck. This will also allow you to sit back and enjoy from a far the inevitable "Colour Wars" battles.

White is uncommon for a reason :banghead:

I cant believe some of you guys are recommending the Leather, it was rank, it looks like someone tried to make the seats from suitcase leather.

I have had leather so many times now and to be honest, it is one of the most over rated items on a car. Then again I have ordered a GT some my interior option was a bit different.

Have to agree with you there Zak, especially now that the weather has really warmed up.

Leather can get very hot and sweaty :banghead:

Leather is definitely over-rated. Looks good from the outside but wears really badly and loks crap after a year or so.

I have always been a Ford man and strayed to the dark side for my last car which was a 2001 V8 VX Calais (with leather). Some piss weak as*hole stole it so I switched back again, I figure it was some sort of omen.

Defintely get the Premium sound, no question!

I agree, check around for aftermarket 18's because you will get a better deal and there are so many options to get something unique.

My 2 cents...

Like I said, I love the leather. Will see in a year or so if the leather protection really does do it's job. But, the main reason I chose it was that I have to sometimes drive to work on a building site and I sometimes do get dusty. My pulsars cloth seats were bloody crap, grabbing every bit of dust. Not the the T, I just get home, give the seats a little rub down with a damp cloth and they look and smell as good as new ;) Oh and the comment about the leather getting hot and sweaty. Well, that's what the A/C is for.

The leather debate is interesting. I was hell bent on getting leather until I sat in a brand new VW Golf at work with leather seats - they were just magnificent :outahere: I then went back to sit in the demo T and the leather felt like vinyl in comparison, so I went cloth. The sad thing is if I hadn't compared the two I'd probably have leather today and be happy with it?

Heya, welcome to the forum and here's hoping your "T" will supply you with years of motoring pleasure. Glad to see you have seen the light. Hey you are in good company. I've been a Ford nut for ages but there are a few die hard Expensive Daewoo fans that have turned to Ford thanks to this great car.

The leather is sensational, very comfortable. The only reason I did not choose leather is I hate the heat and nothing would be worse than sticking to the seat on a hot day...Yes air conditioning is great but if your car is out in the sun for any period of time....'man oh man'! Besides, the 'plexis' pattern material is comfy as.....It's up to you.

H'Gag', it does look 'ok' and yes, maintenance would be far less trouble than Phantom but after applying a nice healthy coat of Meguiars Gold Class, take it out for a cruise and appreciate this brilliant colour in direct sunlight, especially if you opt for the premium paint. (More metallic specs). I love it. It's a matter of: "Hmmm......What colour is this beast going to be today"? Scratches and scuff marks show up more, naturally because it's a darker colour...Our's isn't too bad as I try to take as much care as possible.

To be honest, the only colour I don't like is the new "Lightning Strike"...Great if it's on a Fairmont or Fairlane, I used to joke about HgAg!!! pfffft.... Lightning Strike is far worse. It like the "80 plus" variation of HgAg...lol.

I could be wrong, but I didn't think "premium paint" referred to options within the same colour choice. My understanding is phantom is phantom is premium.

OTOH, winter white (or venom/vixen etc) is winter white is NOT premium. I don't know if the "special" solid colours ( blood orange, citric acid etc) are "premium" in spite of not being metallic, but all metallic colours are automatically "premium paint".

Cheers

blueprint what a colour. I was in the dealer looking at the car and I herd it whisper to me "Why are you staring"

I said, "oh, I'm sorry I was lost in your blueprint" And the rest is history.

She is moving to Qld in just 8 weeks to live with me. I hit the jackpot too, she said I can drive her as hard as I want, She loves it.
