My cat converter was glowing red hot, so I waited for it to cool down then started it up again, now it is running better but still not at 100%. Took it to an exhaust shop and they said theres no rattles etc coming from the cat so they think its ok, and that it might have been a plug/coil, except the plugs that are in it are only around 2000km old. Happened to anyone else, anyone have any ideas what this could be?

A little crack in the porcelain will cause it to earth out on the head and not in the cylinder.Make sure all your coils and plugs are clean around them and the connectors are tight first.
