Long winded story but here goes,

Started my car and warmed it up for a minute as I always do and it stalls, never ever stalled before. Took 15 goes to start and away I go and nothing happened while driving home.

Flashed it back to stock thinking I may have to take it to Ford and it wont start, click or do anything, all lights are working as normal. Weird.

Flashed it back to the 10psi which has been running for 6 months without problems and it starts, soon as it goes into Reverse it stalls again.

The car has always run well on the stock tune and the 10 psi so I can rule out the tune and I always use the stock tune when ever I go on long trips.

Both times it stalled the car was cold.

Battery is new and just got tested so all good. Car was serviced 4k ago. No real mods except 2nd intake and rear muffler removed. and an xcal 3.

No error codes with 10 psi tune but cant read error codes with the stock tune which has never happened. The car is always garaged, serviced and has new plugs, coils and air filter about 10k ago

Did stall while cruising at 60km. Only run 98 fuel.

Where to start? Any help would be Great.

Thanks

my car did same thing not to long ago sortof.

Turned car on, as soon as I put it in reverse for 3 seconds, car engine oil light came on and car stalled. Then I turn car back on and all is fine. Happened every time the car was cold. Problem was either o2 sensor or coil packs from what I read on forum. Got new ford genuine coil packs and problem solved.

Thanks for the reply *Beep*. My coil packs are new genuine Ford and the o2 sensor is also new. Not sure what's happening.

My wife did drive through some water over a week ago and the car has done over 500km since if this could be the cause?

Any other suggestions? im thinking fuel pump or electrical? Fuel filter has done maybe 20k since being replaced.

Im not sure if I should take it to an Auto Elec or straight to Ford?

try disconnect the battery over night. also try the cam phaser reset too (put foot all the way to the floor, and try crank (start) car for 10 seconds, then let go then try start the car normally.

You can also log a code if you do the WOT cranking for too long. And it tests lots of parts in the pcm to if I recall rightly.

Drove it today and dropped the daughter off to school and Nothing, drove perfect and no stalling? Left early just in case but was fine WTF? Weird!

It's booked in Wednesday with Fraud to reflash the ECU with the latest stock tune and run the error codes. Quoted $150, does this sound right?

I recall playing with the positive terminal when flashing back the stock tune if this could be the cause of the stock tune not starting?

Anyway after Wednesday I will post the cause and fix for anyone interested.

Thanks
