Speakers In Ute Rear Cabin

Hey guys.. I have in my BF Ute:

4 channel amp, 10" sub, front MB Q splits, all controlled via Alpine CDA117.

Just want to know ..at this stage I faded system only to the front splits as the stock rear speakers are just s&*%. Is it worth buying a set of coaxials for the rear...will it make a difference....any feedback would be appreciated.

I always have... you can buy 6x9 adaptor brackets and install some decent speakers in there. if you are happy with only the fronts running its your decision but in my opinion I wouldn't run without them

as russ said go with 6x9's it will make a huge difference to the staging.

When I had goldie I know it was a sedan I used the same speakers front and back splits as well.

IMO....id say running 6" coaxials or even 5x7s would be fine off the HU...it would act as a rear fill

I wouldnt bother with 6x9s because you have a sub...most people run 6x9s when they dont have a sub

ok..going to buy a an average set of reputable 5x7 and see how it goes... the replies on this forum seems to favour the rear fill, whereas other "audio feedback" tend to say it's a waste of money.

Will keep up to date for those interested.

done the 6x9's in the rear of my old ute and it sounded great. whole cabin was dynamatted with 2x15's.

but definately put something in there for fill, dont lash out on splits or top range stuff, the placement isnt the best so sound will goto waste.
