hey guys need some help here I bought a ba turbo ute auto couple months ago when I got it had a diff bearing noise so I had the bearings replaced including axle bearings, driving home from the diff place I could still hear a bearing noise and called the diff place and he seemed to think it was coming from the front hubs so we replaced both still no difference today ended up replacing centre tailshaft bearing but noise is still there ,the next thing the diff place said was it must be your low profile tyres im running std 17 ba xr6 rims the noise does change over different road sufaces but im still not sold what do guys think

also would anyone have a set of stock rims which I could try on the car cheers rob

Sounds like the diff guy your using just milked you for replacing things that dont need replacing. The utes are not as quiet as a sedan but in saying that I do hear road noise on mine as well, and I have a aftermarket exhaust too. I know some tyres like falken do get noisy when they start to get low, other than that, its hard to diagnose on the laptop.

Maybe the diff gears are causing it ??????

if it was diff 'whine' or your 'bearing' noise you would hear it at any speed. I was able to hear my diff whine more at low speeds when rolling through streets. but if it was tyre noise, you would hear it at driving speeds, eg freeway or cruising.

but yes change your tyres and the brand to eliminate this. they are two very different noises.

also agree your diff guy may have milked you abit im afraid :icon_ford:
