October 16, 200323 yr #1 Does anyane know if there is a radio control XR6 on the market? I want to ger my hands on one of the petrol powered ones but but all I seem to find are the WRX and holdens. If it comes in Phantom.... even better!
October 16, 200323 yr #2 They usually use clear covers you paint whatever colour you want. You paint them on the inside so you cant scratch the paint off when you crash them. You can probably get a BA V8 supercar body and make it look like an XR6T.Here is a pic of my "toy" my beloved got me for my birthday, I now have a Ford 150 body for it of course.
October 17, 200323 yr #4 Hmm, great fun.......Geez, I still have "The Hornet" and it still is in operating condition. Had the damn thing since `82-83??? Spruced up with a higher grade than the standard RS-540 motor, set so the motor was at its absolute limit in forward, minimal power in reverse, it was a fast little thing but I loved going through pinion gears in it...lol. Used to be heavily into RC cars as a kid. 4WD, Off-Roaders, everything. Somehow a BA XR shell might look a little funny on it...Oh well. It can go back into the wardrobe in the spare room.
October 18, 200323 yr #5 I have the petrol powered model that has been sitting idle for a while & needs a rebuild - PLEASE let me know if ther is a B.A XR body avaliable - it will be going straight on !!!!!!!
October 18, 200323 yr #6 I have a 1/8th gas car GV models 4WD completey rebullt and only started once. A great project for someone. Wheel control as well.It ownes me over $1000. Someone make me an offer! It does 4 wheel powerslides on the tar...........do than in your new Monaro!
October 19, 200323 yr #7 They do the Monaros, BA's and the VY'sMost hobby stores have them for $600 rady to go,Toyland have them as wellZak
October 19, 200323 yr #8 half the fun of RC cars is building them yourself. I used to compete in off road rally class, and actually got in trouble for using an XR shell instead of a "rally car" shell. (pfft... like it matters)I think I still have my trophies around here somewhere. If you dont really plan on using it much (the fad wears off quick for a lot of people).. try going to a hobby shop and picking up a 2nd hand car, and put a BA XR shell on it.
