Being that the B.A range is still a relatively NEW model & by now most of you would have been into a FORD DEALER for some reason or another - whether it be for Scheduled Service, Warranty Issues or Enhancements, how have you all been treated & is ther something that sticks in your mind as a Positive or Negative experience with either SALES or SERVICE ??

Fortunately I know most of my local salesmen personally (as the Dealer Principal and his son are close friends.....his son is my best friend)

However in Sydney, I wa astounded with the lack of knowledge of the product by the salesmen attached to RJV dealerships.

I have no problems with service they always fix my problems the first time I ask.

They know what they/I am talking about, admit they have a problem and fix it. Without trying to bull$hit me.

The total opposite of the service dept at the Mitsubishi dealer or the Expensive Daewoo dealer before that... :banghead:

I hate it when Ford have the car for a full day to fix 3 warranty issues, only to pick the car up at 5pm and be told 'the mechanic couldn't find any problem.' They try to make you feel like you are an idiot. The actual salesman was very good though.(funny that)

I agree with Rob....

pick the car up at 5pm and be told 'the mechanic couldn't find any problem.' They try to make you feel like you are an idiot.

I always end up back there and proving the problem is there though. What I have learnt though is never tell them what the problem is but where you think it is(I hope this makes sense). Because if your your not spot on you'll get that comment.

No problems with Lane Ford, Mandurah at all.

Although it helped to have all my facts for the couple of warranty issues (thanks guys) :spit: to the point they know I know my stuff (printouts taped to inside of wrist :D ) and therefore no bullsh!t!

And now I've joined the hallowed ranks of GT orderer I could take a 'dump' in the middle of the showroom floor and they would gladly wipe it up, wipe my butt, spray it with cologne and smile while doing it. :D

I love the......................POWER!!! :spit::thumbsup:

Sales department was pathetic. Ended up with a car that was not what I ordered.

Service department at same dealer - couldnt put a steering wheel on straight. Did not fix the vibration in my car despite 3 trips and allowing the service manager to take the car home. Never return phone calls or contact you to tell you when the car will be ready.

Service department No.2 - has had the car twice for various problems including aforementioned vibration. Still not fixed.

The second time they had the car 3 days and each day I had to call them to find out if the thing was finished. On day 3 the tone of voice I was greeted with was "what the F%^& are you ringing for of course its ready". Asked if it was fixed, "yes", great what was the problem? "replaced 3 rims", why? "dunno have to ask the mechanic". Turn up to get the car, so what was the verdict, "dunno".

Test drive the next day, marginally better at best.

Complained to the G.M. Service, supposed to organise the regional Ford engineer. 1 week later hadnt heard, so called back.

Crap service. Been a Ford bloke all my life, $50K car, never again.

Ford, u can shove it and I will be getting on the lemon laws band wagon pronto!!

This car is now 6.5 months old, disgraceful.
