I called Ford today and asked what their extended 3year/100K new car warranty costs (doesn't include wear/tear items) and they quoted me $1945. Seems expensive considering the K's I do (done 24K and will be around 45 in 3 years time)...?

Just wondering if this price is different between dealers, and if so the cheapest in Brisbane?

Mines not due for another 8 months but just trying to organise it.

I wouldn't bother...

Spend the $2k on mods and beef it up... A tune will get you sh*tloads more power and fun! Especially when you drive such few mms

yer I agree, would'nt worry about getting an extended warranty

I have it on my car, luckily it was included in the sale and I didn't have to pay for it. Every time some thing breaks or is faulty , suprisingly it is not included in the warranty and I have to pay.

So its pretty worthless.

Depends if it's the genuine Ford deal or a dealer-specific warranty. If you have a stock vehicle and want the continued piece of mind by a manufacturer warranty then it'd probably be worth it.

I'm with Tab.

I'd probably go for it if I was going to be selling the car within 2 years of the warranty expiring as well, to help with resale and finding a buyer quickly.

If that's for genuine ford warranty that's cheap. I was quoted about $2300 for an XR6T a couple of weeks ago. I;d still try and beat the price down though.

If its a genuine ford extended warranty and you planning on keeping the phoon stock then sure go for it.

If not dont bother wasting your money
