B series cars do not have a flasher box, the indicators are controlled from a device inside the cluster, so at present there is no way of getting led indicators to work other than using a load resistor.

Damn, that's what I was afraid of. What about a combination of the led flasher in series with the feed to each LED flasher, and using the globe (as the load resistor) in parallel with the LED globe, but inside the boot so you don't see it?

Has anyone removed the instrument cluster and identified the left and right indicator wires?

I've found a device that simulates the load of normal globe circuit but switches LED lights, and provides feedback to the flasher if the LED circuit fails. This achieves compliance with ADR 13/00 so unlike other options is legal.
