Worm A much better forum Silver Donating Members 3,808 Member For: 16y 9m 22d Gender: Male Location: Victoria Posted 05/06/10 10:16 AM Share Posted 05/06/10 10:16 AM Manuals are MUCH more driveable closer to stock... ie. 300rwkw and under... Above that... Axle tramp, wheelspin and impossible launches... LOL but HEAPS of fun! 350rwkw in a manual feels like it pulls harder when on boost than an auto too... But auto definitely quicker!!! Gloo Member 403 Member For: 17y 9d Gender: Male Location: Northern South Australia Posted 05/06/10 11:41 PM Share Posted 05/06/10 11:41 PM All manual utes clunk, if yours doesnt you will have to send it off and find out why. You will smoke 8's with your stock ute if the 8's are manuals, dunno about autos. I find that a manual FG turbo is just slightly quicker than a BF with a ZF though the first 2 gears, but it all comes down to shift times and controling traction in an FG. Once you get past 2nd they become dangerously quick, slightly quicker than a bf phoon. that's my personal opinon. As worm said, try the auto as well. I know you said your last cars were auto's but the ZF is 10x better than any auto in any car that isnt worth 100k plus. Its is awsome to drive. Manuals are more fun though and use less fuel on the highways.
