It'll be a cold day in hell before I would ever pay $95k for any Australian built car.

It'll happen one day mate. Its called inflation

Oh wait :puke: Ahh better :smilielol:

Sorry but I like the look of the older series, this AWD version of the Monaro has a very unattractive front. True VY tradition I suppose. There is a really bad line through the middle of the lower air intake on the front bumper and the foglight housing.

Yes the wheel arches do look pretty cool and from a side angle it does look a hell of a lot nicer but the fog lights, the line through the lower air intake and the 'bigger' grille.....It's hiddious! More like an AUDI than a Late model camira at the front. However, the rear view looks pretty fat as Monaro's always have. Undecided on the twin tipped double exhaust though, bit too much but it does make it look BEEFY.

The price? $95,000 odd? Hell you could buy 2 WRX's for the price of this Monstrosity!!! To be perfectly honest, I'd spend my money elsewhere when dealing with an AWD performance vehicle of any sort.....Preferably go for Subaru for example (as they are experts in this area)....I'd choose a WRX any day over this “AWD Monaro” Any Australian made AWD for that matter…YES, EVEN A FORD FALCON VERSION…Stick to RWD, that’s the stuff we are good at. An Aussie AWD version may be a fantastic option in a couple of years but not now.

95 grand + oil for only 270kw =14.8 1/4 + 6.15 to 100k :smilielol:

AWD must surely be a good thing when it comes but I would rather have the mods the spare 45k will buy added onto my T

Gotta agree with the grille comments look's very similiar to the balls up they did of the GTO for the states wouldnt be suprised if it was a left over design stuck on for the local market.

Lurve the dual pipes but.:smilielol:

Yes Dags, you do have way too much time on your hands, cool signature, where did you score it or did you just whip it up?

HSV claims 6.1 seconds 0-100km/h on tar and 6.6 seconds on gravel, with a 0-400m dash completed in 14.8 seconds.
If I'm not mistaken, this is slightly slower than the XR6T (on tar that is). So that means that come June 2004, my stock XR6T will be able to beat a $95,000 HSV.

:D  Sounds good to me! :D

I wonder how much a clutch is to replace on the Monaro

After all, if the AWD set up they use is that good, all that torque and big revs have to gove out somewhere.

Is there any way they could have stuck more plastic to that thing. I'm sure whoever is supplying the raw materials for the bodykit would be making a fortune.

I absolutely hate the front. they could almost call it the "homer". the back looks pretty cool though but lose the wing. Isn't the grill off the grange statesman?
