I believe it's a red browed finch and it looks to be about a month old 'cause he can fly however he doesn't make much noise. I'm not sure what to do with him - we've put him under a dome mesh thing onto a towel and have put a bowl of water in there with a slice of apple, which he didn't really take much notice of. I own two cats so keeping him may not be the best of ideas and I have read they are mainly kept as an aviary bird. So if any of you guys are avid bird people, you can send me a PM and come and pick him up. Until then, I need some help working out what's best to feed him with. Any ideas? Birds don't have a diaphragm, so when holding him, be careful not to squeeze his chest too hard cos he can only breath with his rib cage.
