Help!! I purchased second hand ford flasher II flash tuner. But I just getting ready to head down to Sydney to get tune done tomorrow and noticed that a cable is missing. It has the OBD II cable attached to the unit, but there is a Round plug in the top of unit which I don't have a cable for. :innocent: Am I supposed to have this cable??? I would be thinking this is the cable needed to connect to computer etc. :turboboink:

Will I still be able to get my car tuned without this cable????? :roflmbo: Cheers, Higgo

Hi mate,

I bought my car and it came with a Ford Flasher I... Only has the unit and the cable to connect it to the Port under the dash...

I haven't had a custom tune since I've bought it, but I have changed tunes and had it up on the dyno...

I'd assume that you'd be ok...

Other cable is to load tunes into the box, it's a serial port, your tuner will have one so he/she can connect to their pc to program the box.

Later models have a USB connector, but it's attached to an internal serial to usb adaptor.
