when speaking to a customer that came to my work just recently I was told that they had a ford territory turbo that was no longer needed as a stock family car so some modifications had begun.

now I am not familiar with the territories at all so please be gentle with comments.

it was said that lowering the territory would lead him to troubles so the company doing the work opted for xr6t suspension setup.

so I ask the question...only because I have wondered about the possibilities since the talk...

being that xr6t components fit the territory, could territory parts fit the xr6t?in terms of the drive train...the all wheel drive system!

the thought gives me butterflies!imagine an sti badge on the car for kicks and there being a reason for it at the same time! :omg:

could it be that we could be on to a weapon creating platform...?

remember:

:beerchug:

if anyone has any please post away.

My STi is 1260kg.

My wifes STi is 1463kg.

I think the latest ones are around 1500kg.

As for the original issue re Territory, I looked into a Territory awd transplant 5 years ago into my BA, but it wouldn't fit, plus I'd have to change to a auto, which I didn't want to do. FG may be different.

From a post of mine in December 2005 "They actually did all the 4WD R&D with 2 BA sedans, in outback testing & in Norway(or Sweden, can't remember).... so it can be done." Like many things it's a matter of how much money and patience you have.

I was thinking the rtv stuff could probably do the same.

like I originally commented its not for me its just something I thought of when the guy was talkin about the work on his territory.

any thoughts on the rtv driveline...?

also what is the weight on the rego sticker of the wrx's? that's where I was lookin on my friends one...
