Brake Shudder

has anyone else suffered from brake shudder in the new fg utes? mine is starting to shudder, I would have thought the ford would have fixed this afterthe problems with the ba's

Haven't heard of it - my sedan is fine

Is yours auto or manual? And mostly city driving?

my ute has it pretty bad but I think I know what it is.

It is the rust between the hub and the inside of the disk and also the rust between the disk and the wheel.

Basically when you tighten it all up the disk isnt running true becuase of the excess rust.

Because I didnt figure this out for so long (80,000km)my disks have a fair bit of run out now, so if I was to fix the mating surfaces I would probably still get shudder cause the disk is stuffed.

I am going to wait for my front pads to wear out then get new pads and disks, then basically polish all the mating surfaces and then give them a coat of High temp paint to stop the rust in future.

happens to alot of cars and it seams like an easy fix, would be good if ford could do something.

If I put my conspiracy hat on, I could see a link why brake places never fix the simple real cause and just machine the disks and expect you back in 10,000 km for another disk machine.
