I was quoted $60 genuine. That was each if I remember correctly.

What are the implications of it being loose? Is the engine sucking dirty air?

for the skinny ones that fit in the plastic groove - I have looked around at heaps of places but havn't found one to replace the factory one?

in the end I got another one from fords, any tips on finding them? :dontknow:

If there is no seal, it's essentially sucking in unfiltered atmospheric (engine bay) air or losing boost, depending on which pipe's coupling is not sealed. Just tighten her up.

Not worth putting too much thought into this one IMO Hornet. Your turbo won't blow up from sucking in a little bit of atmosphere or anything.

@ blackxr6turbo - before I made Fraud replace mine (as they refused to at first), I bought an 8 inch length from SuperCrudAuto for around $14. Measured the half-way point at a few points around the circumference and carefully cut it in half with a sharp blade. Then replaced both ends on my intake pipe. It fit much more snuggly then the worn factory ones and probably provided a better seal. Oh and it looked trick for the short time I had it on there. :turboboink:
