Hey guys I'm new here. I live in the USA and I would like to import a used xr6 turbo motor for swapping into my 1965 mustang. I searched the forums here and only found 1 motor for sale with a busted rod. Anyone know more details on importing this motor or getting parts for it? Does it have one of the standard ford bellhousing bolt patterns? It is hard to find info on this motor.

Thanks for your help

Brett

Oh how I wish I had my turbo when I visited the states!

Aussie I6T powered mustang, that'll be different! Nice idea, hope you get it sorted and post up some pics and vids later! :buttrock:

I also have a busted motor (broken rod/piston (and just the turbo was sold). An almost complete long motor.

If your interested PM me. When I couriered my new LONG motor from interstate, weight was 250kg, and size was 'normal palet size' 200x200 (I think it was). So feel free to do some research with that info.

shouldnt be too hard, will need to get it properly packed / crated and then shipped. I would expect something like USD 1.5-2K to do this in addition to the engine.

Try these guys for the motor

Ford Auto Salvage

Depending on what you want to do with the motor you have few different options. If you want it fairly stock with modest power increase a low km BA motor is fine. But is you want a lot more power out of it then go for a late BF or BFII motor. Or if you want it fully built you can buy the whole motor from atomic.

I'd suggest reading up a bit on here as there is plenty of information. Plus I'd recommend getting the best motor you can get and not running it on the limit as I can imagine fixing the thing over there would be a bit of a nightmare.
