However I found by trimming about 2 inches of the thread of my compressors I could have the socket heads at the bottom and after that it was a portion of urine. As stated above, SSL`s just fall out Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/65475-replacing-the-rear-springs/#findComment-974806 Share on other sites

You`ll sweat buckets on a hot day.Couple clues: Number one, undo the sway bar end links and twirl swing the bar back out of the way. The control arm won`t travel far enough to let the strut and coil come out no matter how much you swear at it if this isn`t done..Second clue is after you undo the sway bar end links and jack the car up and remove one or both front wheels, loosen that centre nut that attaches to the strut rod up in the engine bay there. I said LOOSEN don`t remove it all the way. Just get it slack. Major pain in the ring if you don`t get it loose while its there captive.Third clue have something to sit the caliper on like a 2 gallon bucket upside down when you remove it. I`ve seen guys use a bungie cord also. Either way, don`t let the caliper hang on the brake line.Be carefull with the wires for the ABS.Be farkin carefull with spring compressors. It`s all fun till someone has an eye out, isn`t it? You may need to remove the swaybar bolt to get it to drop enough also.Make sure you use an axle stand before sliding under the car.And as has been previously mentioned, chop the bumpstop off at the first section before lowering the car back down.
