I had to grab the hand brake to avoid hitting the car in front (& change my daks when I got home). This was a recall by Ford some time ago, & I had booked it in at Adrien Brien (Keswick) when I was there for an inspection on my gearbox because of coolant contamination but I was told there was a shortage of replacement hoses & they would contact me when they had parts available. They never contacted me & as time went by I forgot about it (my fault). I should have followed it up, but so should have the ford dealer as it was primarily their responsibility considering the risk of injury or death to the occupants when this happens (maybe because I do not get the car serviced by them they think its ok to do nothing even when a request has been made.)When I called Adrien Brien (St Marys) & told them I needed the hoses replaced, they slotted the car in friday afternoon & replaced the hoses promptly and at no charge. Happy with that particular service.

As soon as I bought my car I drove it to ford gave them the vin and asked if there were any recalls that needed to be done to it. Sure enough the rear brake hose hadnt been done. The only time I let ford touch my car.... RECALLS
