Xr6T Question?

Gday guys,

Just wondering if you were to buy a xr6t and planning on changing to a bigger aftermarket turbo would you be better off to save your cash buying a na xr6 and putting a new turbo on it or are the xr6t engine set up differently to handle the turbo and would the na need alot of work to fit one.

Might sound like a stupid question but im not wizz on engines and only one way to learn is to ask..

thanks

It would be ten times cheaper to install a larger turbo on an already turboed XR6 than an NA6. There is a vast list of differences between the XR6T and the XR6.

stock turbo is good for plenty of power, plenty of other mods to do before you get to that point.

Why do you feel the need for a bigger turbo? What I mean by that is what are you planning to do with the car?

Are you building a 600RWKW dragstrip monster?

Or is it just your daily driver that you want to modify?
