Hi all. Recently bought an xr6t bf mkii. I really love it but have heard many things can go wrong with them. Its currently got 4 months warranty left and want everything fixed that can be before I have to start paying.

Anyone know stuff I should get checked

diff bush. mine was ok a month ago, and 2 weeks ago I took it for warranty noises on front suspension and the bush was suddenly rooted.

all 3 diff bushes

front springs bowing

springs sagging

front ball joint bushes

timing cover oil leaks

head gasket oil leaks

power steering hoses leaks

water pump leaks

warped rotors

diff whine

sway bar links

if manual - top of gearbox shifter assembly leaks

tensioner pully noisy bearings

tailshaft centre bearing sagging

noisy wipers motor

that's what I have done on my BFii. Mind you, I was REALLY looked after by my dealer, and the went over the whole car finding every fault they could.

+1 on the diff bush (what a stupid bloody design), and some leaking from the timing cover. Other than that its been pretty good.
